Priya Entertainments organised a unique winter carnival in North Kolkata with a difference. There were events for all age groups- kids to senior citizens. The events took place at Sandhya Tara- the rooftop food court. There was a magic show on Christmas eve, a scrap contest followed by a visit of Santa Claus in the morning and a fashion show for the kids preceded by a stand-up comedy act by Sounavo of Mirakkel (TV show) fame in the evening on Christmas day, a nostalgic evening of Bengali golden oldies with songs of legends like Hemanta Mukherjee, Manna De, Shyamal Mitra, Sandhya Mukhopadhyay, was organised for senior citizens on 27th December, performance by child singer Aritra performed on 30th December and a scintillating performance by singing sensation Nilakshi on December 31.

It was a day of special shows of the newly released film Goal (produced by UTV Motion Pictures and distributed in East by Piyali Films) attended by the lead actor John Abraham. He attended a public show attended by his friend and Indian footballer Bhaichung Bhutia with other footballers including Alvito. Later in the evening he had a special screening for his friends India cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni accompanied by Ishant Sharma, Dinesh Kartik and Munaf Patel.

The rooftop at Star Theatre came alive with colourful kites flown by localites. Priya Entertainments organised this event to contribute its bit to the kite-flying passion of North Kolkata that Star Theatre is part of on the day of Viswakarma Puja.
